HAND IN!
This last week has been utter madness! For those who have been keeping track of me, I have had glandular fever and jaundice and while I have been able to complete my 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' work in good time, being out for a significant amount of time severely effected my 'Romeo and Juliet' work. I managed to get a weeks extension before hand in and while I had been able to finish Juliet's design for hand in and Romeo's character analysis but now it was on to designing in earnest. I have spent every day from waking up in the morning to falling asleep (often on my sketchbook) working on this project, I took two wonderful trips fabric hunting and sourcing at : Fabric Warehouse (Poole), Mostyns (Christchurch), Hansons (Sturminster Newton), Treasure House (Southbourne) and I have managed to get fabric samples and trims for all of the costumes!
The fabric, surprisingly, that has become the most used is Chenille. Of wonderful quality but, dependent on weave either looking rich or rough, it is appropriate for a wide range of my designs.

Here they are, the finished designs!
EVALUATION!
In hindsight I definitely would have chosen to use a smaller sketchbook. The one I selected was A2, the reason for which being I had been advised by guest lecturer Gareth Corke, that I should be working on a larger scale. In hindsight though this made my book very cumbersome to use and transport so I would definitely work at A3 next time.
Asside from that I have been so much delayed by my illness, which is unfortunately something I could not help. With extra time I feel I could have given this project the time and attention that it deserved, though I am happy with my designs, the development to them I was not able to propperly write up due to time constraints, and while I have done a host and range of appropriate research I have unfortunately not been able to include it.
